Q&A with Dan Trumbower, CFP®
What attracted you to Halpern Financial?
I asked several people, “If you were in my shoes—where would you work?” Again and again, the name Halpern Financial came up. Their team morale and fiduciary commitment is well respected in the industry. They have specialists in every area of financial planning, and everything is streamlined with processes. I am really looking forward to spending my time where it is most valuable to the client.
What started you on this career path?
My grandfather was one of the original advisors at Waddell & Reed. When I was young, he would gift us mutual funds and I would keep up with their performance, even at age 12! I was always interested in stocks and investing, and I’m so glad that interest has led me to a career that allows me to help people plan for their future.
What is the best book you’ve read recently?
Believe It: My Journey of Success, Failure and Overcoming the Odds by Nick Foles. Whether or not you’re an Eagles fan, this is an amazing story of teammates and camaraderie.
What do you do in your spare time?
I enjoy golf, fishing, woodworking and spending time with my wife and kids.
Dan Trumbower has the same commitment to being a fiduciary that our Halpern Financial clients are accustomed to. He will be based in our Rockville office. We are happy to have Dan join us in our mission to help investors build a bridge from the realities of today to a better tomorrow.
